Dear Sharon,

I am thrilled with the Enviroswim. I have not needed to add chlorine at all. Our water is the cleanest it has ever been. I have been searching for a product that does what it claims to do without chlorine and other chemicals and this is the first product that worked way beyond my expectations. Because we have so much rain, sun and our weather is so warm in the summer, I was concerned how well it would work. This is the best unit I have ever owned and it is so easy to maintain. In summer our pool gets to anywhere between 90 to 105 degrees with just the sun alone and it still worked. The water feels like spring water on the skin. There isn't any algae growth, I was able to swallow the water with no ill effects and was able to water the potted plants around the pool with a bucket that I filled from the pool and the plants are better than thriving. I highly recommend the Enviroswim and I am sure you will enjoy it too. The only thing that needs replacing is the copper / silver electrodes that seem to have a very long life maybe 1.5 to 2 years at the rate that it is reducing in our system. They are also easy to replace when Phil the owner showed me.

For the cleanest water without any added chlorine, Bromine, Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), Ozone or Potassium mono per sulphate (all products I have used and ALL of which have some toxic effect on the body) this unit is it. The Enviroswim has nothing in it that is toxic just copper and silver ions (they use this for water treatment in space NASA Space shuttle), electronic oxidisation and ultrasound. And this Summer we also had a party with a LOT of people in the pool. Previously I would have had to do some form of Chlorine treatment to the pool in order for it to cope. We were more than happy this year and a little incredulous as this time our pool stayed crystal clear and required no additives of any kind!!! A big winner...

Upon hearing of the fresh water systems used in swimming pools in Cairns in far North Queensland we specifically looked to have a similar system installed in our pool.

After speaking with the gentlemen from Enviroswim we decided to have the Enviroswim III system installed.

Our pool is in excess of 60,000 litres.

The water quality is excellent, no salt or chlorine odours. Our water is crystal clear.

We have plants growing as part of the pool surrounds and unlike salt or chlorine pools any water from the pool that may fall on the plants does them good rather than harm.

Just a short letter to let you know that the Enviroswim System you installed for us six months ago has worked perfectly from day one.

Since the pool was balanced, in the first weeks, we have had nothing to do except add acid after each rainfall, which we get quite regularly here. All the other water parameters remain balanced, which is a pleasant surprise. The system has really proved itself more than capable of handling the pool’s 90,000 litres and it is so nice not to be swimming in highly chlorinated or salty water. This is all the more pleasant knowing that the installation didn’t cost a fortune and we are making savings on pool chemicals every day.

Maybe Enviroswim is not the cheapest system on the market, but certainly, with respect to performance and ease of use, the best.

We have had the Enviroswim Ioniser installed for just over 12 months now Installed (2005). Initially we were concerned about the amount of work required to maintain a pool having seen some pool owners spend hours maintaining the correct ph and chlorine levels. We have been pleasantly surprised. The only thing that has needed to be done regularly is to scoop the leaves out and clean the filter. The ph is monitored but very rarely has it needed to be changed.

Our pool is about 60,000 cubic metres, in summer the pump has needed to be turned on for between 5-6 hours. During winter the pump has been run for between 4-5 hours. The pool has remained clean for the whole time.
In fact at one stage we didn't even look at the pool for close to six weeks(during winter) and nothing needed to be done except remove some leaves. Because of the residual effect of the silver and copper ions the ioniser has not needed to be run all the time even in during summer.

The pool looks as clear as any other backyard pool but has the advantage of no chlorine. Does this make a difference? In our opinion, an emphatic yes.

By far the main reason that we bought the ioniser was to eliminate the need for chlorine. Our initial thought was if the system didn't work we could always change to the tried and tested salt water chlorinater. We should not have worried, the system works very well.

We are extremely happy with the result that we have obtained. We can go for a swim, get out of the pool, dry off and not have that feeling of being covered by chemicals. In the past the only way to get rid of that feeling was to have a shower.

We have recommended the system to two of our friends who are considering installing new pools. Their responses after having a swim were very positive one even compared it to having a swim in a creek.

Enviro-swim installed their Copper/Silver Ioniser unit in my pool in early December 2002. Prior to that date I had a salt chlorinator for some years which, although reasonably successful required constant monitoring to maintain correct salt and pH levels, together with the addition of stabilizer and algaecide from time to time.

I can only say that since the Enviro-swim installation I have had very little if anything to do and the pool is now in pristine condition. Apart from adjusting the pH as required - (three times over last five months) - I have not had to do another thing to the pool. No salt required, no stabilizer, no algaecide and no chlorine smell or irritating eyes!

In the past every time we had a substantial amount of rain, I would have to tip in more salt to make up the loss - plus stabilizer (which is expensive). Now, it can rain all it likes and the pool is not effected in any way. Not only that - I am really pleased with the appearance of the pool itself. The grout between the tiles has been restored to "as new" appearance and the terra cotta capping and steps also look so much better. My only regret is that I didn't do this years ago - would have saved a heap of cash, work and worry!

An added unexpected bonus - I have topped up the pool three times to make up for evaporation loss since December - but instead of using town water I have been able to use bore water from my spear pump - something I could never do before because of the re-action between dissolved salts in the ground water and the chlorine.

Now everyone comments on the water clarity and general appearance of the pool and everyone who swims in it says how nice it is to swim in chlorine free water. Another bonus - no need to shower afterwards because the pool water is cleaner than the town water!

As a pool owner I often wondered if it was worth the effort of owning a pool, each week was a chore in cleaning and balancing out the chemicals.

So when I built my new house I was undecided about a pool until I was offered an alternative to a salt water chlorinated pool, the Enviro Swim system, using copper and silver rods that disinfect the water without the smell of chlorine.

I was skeptical at first but now it’s in I am more than happy.

I found that the initial start up cost were minimal the only chemicals I needed were, acid and buffer unlike a salt pool whereby I would have the added cost of salt and chlorine.

There is no cell to clean, one job less, no acid to dispose of after cleaning, no salt to buy, no chlorine to buy or test for, no shock treatment to worry about when the weather gets hot and you find the algae taking over.

When I owned a salt water chlorinated pool I found my self spending around $20 per month on salt, chlorine, acid and buffer, sometimes more if I had to shock treat, I still need the acid and the buffer but find it easier to hold these levels and therefore reduce my monthly costs.

The system also runs much more efficiently and I have reduced the time needed to run my pump by 35-40%, unlike that of the last pool whereby I need to run about 7-8 hours in the winter and 10-12 in the summer. Again there is a saving on pump wear and electricity.

There are added bonuses, when swimming it is more pleasant, you don’t have the smell of chlorine or red eyes, if the pool level rises after a heavy rain you can safely dump it on to the garden with out damaging the grass or plants.

Now owning and maintaining pool is a pleasure not a chore.

Rhode Island Residential Resort installed the Enviro-swim pool sanitation system into our pool of some 600,000 litres in August 2001. This followed comprehensive information seeking discussions on and about the system with the Directors of Watertech Services, also private research including liaison with other Enviro-swim system users.

Having now operated with the Enviro-swim Sanitation system for more than a year, we feel well qualified to offer constructive and time proven comment, in the following two categories.

Firstly, there is the significant improvement with the general appearance of the pool. The water is visually more sparkling and feels "softer" those old rusty coloured stains that many pools seem to develop, over a short time, fade away. The water does seem to be cleaner and fresher with all enquires made to our many pool users resulting in very positive responses.

Secondly, the operating costs of our pool have been significantly reduced. The filtration running time has been halved saving 50% on electric power bills, with the life of the pumps likewise expected to double. Reduction or total removal of chemical additives including salt, acid and bi-carb amount to high value savings on a per annum basis.

All of the above has resulted in a total pay back for the installation of the system in less than one year.

We should not fail to mention the level of service that we received during the installation process and continue to receive today. This is a hands on Management team offering personalised assistance rarely matched by an end user.

Voyager Resort Ltd, Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia.

The existing pool system at Voyager Resort prior to the Enviro-Swim Commercial System consisted ot two filter circuits servicing the pool and spa through seperate large capacity sand filters driven by independent electric pumps and individual controllers.

The pool circuit includes a by-pass heat exchanger and the spa curcuit is in series with a Compuserve 2400 watt three phase heater. Seperate automatic chlorine injectors control chlorine levels in both the spa and the pool.

The spa is fully tiled and the main pool has a "pebble-crete" surface and is tiled from the coping to below normal water level. In spite of constant daily pool care and maintenance, evidence of algae build up in the hollows of the pebblecrete surface was a constant problem. Calcium build up in the heat exchangers was starting to reduce water flow through the exchange manifold with a consequent loss of efficiency.

Following the fitting of the Enviro-Swim Commercial units to both the pool and the spa circuits in conjunction with an ultra- sound unit in series with the heat exchanger we can confirm the following:-

1. Chlorine levels have been dramatically reduced (whilst still complying with Health Department regulations) resulting in a reduction in operating costs of the order of $300-00 per month.
2. The algae problem has been completely eliminated.
3. Stabiliser and algaecide are no longer required.
4. Calcium deposits in the heat exchanger manifold have been obliterated and water flows through the heaters have now returned to optimum levels.
5. The running costs have been reduced dramatically due to:

   Substantial reduction in chlorine

   Power reductions resulting from optimum heat transfer in the heater manifold.

   Power reduction through reduced filter running time.

   Overall reduction in maintenance hours required to monitor and service the system efficiently.

6. Guest acceptance of the new system has been excellent. People really appreciate the clear water environment.
7. New developements in Enviro-Swim technology promise to completely eliminate chlorine from the system which will further reduce running costs as well as ware and tear on the system.
8. We have no hesitation in recommending the Enviro-Swim commercial system. Our experience has shown that with Enviro-Swim, total operating and maintenance costs are substantially reduced and the pool environment has been improved and restored to original condition and performance.
